As part of the Women And Theatre ATHE Pre-Conference

After welcome remarks from The Woman And Theatre President, Jen-Scott Mobley and the President of the National Women's History Museum in DC, Joan Wages, the incredibly talented and award winning Kathleen Chalfant, Maryann Plunkett, and Tamara Tunie peformed nine scenes from play by American woman playwrights of the past. The featured plays included TROUBLE IN MIND by Alice Childress, THE LITTLE FOXES by Lillian Hellman, IN THE SUMMERHOSUE by Jane Bowls, and GOODBYE MY FANCY by Fay Kanin.

The performance was a SOLD-OUT event wiht over 300 attendees. After the reading there was a lovely reception, where the most commonly echoed remark was how suprised people were at their lack of knowledge about these wonderful plays.
